GREEN SCHOOL CAMPAIGN

 

BACKGROUND OF THE CAMPAIGN

 

The PenjanaBebas-KeTTHA Green Schools Campaign was created with the objective to equip young Malaysians and teachers with information on the science and benefits of renewable energy. Through the Campaign, selected national schools nationwide are equipped with a 5kWp photovoltaic solar panels which provide a platform for students to learn first-hand about green technologies, backed by the roll-out of an awareness programme.

The Campaign is enabled through the support of Steering Committee including representatives from the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, PenjanaBebas, Ministry of Education, Jabatan Kerja Raya, Energy Commission. Sustainable Energy Development Agency and Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
